Search Engine Friendly site?

Hi

I need some help before I will transfer my new updated site to the root directory.

a site about wedding gallery, mostly images with few text as possible.

I need to know what other things I can do to make my site Search Engine Optimized? Especially on the press page.

Make sure you add relevant ALT tags to each image.

eg: <img src="wedding1.jpg" alt="Wedding pictures">

 

Maybe visit Google Web Master Tools for a few tips...

 

- you should emphasize keywords you want to optimize.
- emphasize your first line of words with h1
- repeat the lines at footer with h2
- add tittle attribute to your links

If you want search engine traffic then you will need content. You have to provide text the search engine don't read images.

 

add meta tags (keywords and desription to head section)

I agree that you should include the alt tag as well.

 

Meta tags and description tags are key for search engines, if you are not good with html search for some meta tag templates in google.

 

To get search engine traffic you need to put in some text for every images that you put on your site.Try to describe the design and colour of each dress. Search engines can only read text but not images.

 

This is absolutely true. While your images sell your skills to visitors, you must sell the search engines with text.
