    Best Search Engine for Research:

I have heard of alternative Search Engines that are supposedly "better" than Google, I will post the name of one I was referred to as soon as I can think of the name. Has anyone else heard of these alternative search engines that are deemed more accurate than Google, if so please share.

Primarily what I am getting at, is a plethora of the best databases and search engines so I can fully extend upon my research skills.

I look forward to reading your reply's and responding.

all it takes is for one other search engine to do something innovative, like get their search engine on Facebook... A bit like Bing is doing... hmm interesting!

I think google is one of the best search engine for research work, you can find any king of research work through google, These search engines are Google Custom Search Engine
Concept that allows one a search engine that delivers results from a subset of sites.

I can tell you for sure that Bing values title tag changes more than Google. From personal experience, I've been able to see large jumps in SERP rankings from just changing title tags and H1's. However, not many use these other search engines so it doesn't matter a great deal.

Bing is said to be the next best search engine. But Im not sure if this will last any longer. I dont even use Bing myself unless I do Facebook.

I think there is no better Search Engine than Google for research.

Google is the only engine with a massive database. It also allows you to customize your search in many ways. You can make special searches to exclude & includes certain terms as well. Go for Google... btw, what kind of research r you looking for?
