    Here is a comparison of online searches done by United States web surfers

    Notice how the big 3 ~Google, Yahoo and MSN ~ make up over 80%.

    Neilson NetRatings installed tracking software on over one million internet using computers worldwide. They tracked how many searches were done and at what site. Internal site searches were not included in the results.

    -Google searches are from google.com and images.google.com

    -Yahoo searches are from yahoo.com and local.yahoo.com

    -MSN searches are from search.msn.com

    -AOL searches are from search.aol.com but does not include search.netscape.com (owned by AOL)

    -MyWay searches are from myway.com (owned by Ask)

    -Ask searches are from ask.com but does not include tecoma.com,.myway.com, home.iwon.com or mysearch.com (all owned by Ask)

    -Netscape searches are from search.netscape.com (owned by AOL)

    -iWon searches are from home.iwon.com (owned by Ask)

    -Dogpile searches are from dogpile.com

    -Earthlink searches are from earthlink.com

    In spanish search engine markets there are a lot of difference ...

    In spanish market 80% of all the search engine traffic is for Google ... :-o

    I have read articles about some recent percentages that go a little above the 40% for googles part. well maybe all the other language searches and local searches have been considered then.

    80% of searchings in Europe goes via Google, some countries more, a few less ;)
