I've been using SearchFeed to place a searchbox on our site. A user will search from our site, and the results are all advertisers. Google offers a similar product called "AdSense for search". I do prefer SearchFeed however, even though our average click rate is less than 5c for our industry. I was wondering, if anyone knows of similar sites that offer webmasters a search box to place on their site? Thank you.
I would go with Google Adsense. Their search technology is proven, and visitors already recognize and trust it. Tom
Thanks Tom. I was a little puzzled with Googles "AdSense for search". All the results in the search are organic results rather than sponsored or paid listings. So how does a webmaster make money from AdSense for search?
It's just like searching on Google; the results are oraganic, but there are sponsored and targetted links on the side. When a visitor searches for something and clicks on one of those links, you get money. Tom
Google search technology is great, Google search payout not. You will end up with surfers using your search box but not clicking on links, hence no earnings.
Currently use SearchFeed at the moment and the payouts are rather low. 3 to 4c a click, whereas I know Google pays us about 30c a click for the same keywords.
