It was overzealous, but Hannity is a loud mouthed jerk, who hides on his television set and behind his radio microphone, when he says many of the ridiculous things he does.

The viewership makes him who he is, so it was time for him to be accountable to his base. He's not some minor god who gets to exist in a bubble while he pronounces from the top of the mountain.

 

What a disgraceful display. Is it any wonder paul doesn't have any more than single digit support nation wide with these thugs and angry mobs pushing his agenda?

While I don't care for Hannity or what he espouses, he does have the right to say it. I would also go out on a limb and say that this rabid mob are not his base, and as such he is not accountable to them.

I find it hard to believe that guerilla, of all people, would condone such an assault on anyone because of what they have to say.

There is no lying that the guy hates Ron Paul and although we don't care about that its just that he takes his hate and fox news puts it together to make one of the most biased news networks ever! Ron Paul actually said he wants to sue fox news because of what they are doing. And knowing after this event hes only gonna make some smart ass remark and only hide the truth more.

 

I don't condone violence, or assaults. But he's a public figure, and he's happy to attack from his microphone, when he steps onto the street with the common man, we're more than entitled to give him a piece of our mind.

And no, I wasn't there, and no, this doesn't represent much of Paul's base. But I refuse to put these people on pedestals, where they can call folks against war traitors, or anti-american. I'm tired of being labeled a liberal because I won't support the notion of Empire.

Hannity is an @sshole, he knows it, even his fans know it (part of his appeal), and he shouldn't expect a hero's welcome when he is on the road. On the radio, he frequently screens his callers or hangs up on them and that's his right.

In public, it's a different story. He's got to face the music.

I'm not sure where you both are from or what the laws in NH are, but in my State Assault is defined as

No one (especially me) is putting anyone on a pedestal, but I do believe Hanitty has the right to voice his opinion of people. If said people see it as libelous, they need to take it up with him in a court of law, not out in the street.

It's his show. He's free to talk to or hang up on whomever he chooses. That still doesn't give people the right to assault him or anyone else.

Yes, Hannity has a right to call people spinless liberals, and he has a right to attack their honor on the radio by calling them anti-American.

You can't sue for libel when it's issued as a broad statement like that.

But you can give him a piece of mind in public when he shows himself.

I agree. It's a private property rights issue. If he wants to be a small minded fascist on his show, that's his business. But off his show, he gets no special privileges.

He's an insulting @sshole who took cheap shots at Ron Paulers LONG before anyone confronted him. He started it, and he should have expected a response, because he certainly asked for one.
