A little clueless but... Are sitemaps the best way to submit to SEs? Or do I have to submit each page individually? If sitemaps are the way to go... does anyone know where I can get one for the technically challenged?
a good option to have a sitemap.xml on G, for some monitoring advantage... you dont need to submit your page individual lot of free sitemap gen online. like this one www dot xml-sitemaps dot com
You do not need to submit your site to search engines. Do a bit of basic SEO (see my sig), like link building, and the SE's will find you. Sitemaps will not get your site indexed in google or any other SE either. Links is the way to go.
I've already started the process with a submitting a good article. I've submitted my index page to SEs. However, only my home page is getting found/indexed. Any way to get the rest of my pages indexed/found?
Oh - One more question... If I were to submit each page individually is this considered "spamming" & will they blacklist me?
No, you will not be blacklisted or anything like that. Sitemaps are good for google to go deeper into your site, but as stated before you still need some good links pointing to the site. No need to waste time submitting to search engines, they will find you if you have good links.
I never submit my site to SE's personally What I do is build lots of high quality links to my site. I find this gets my site indexed faster than by directly submitting.
i disagree i think the best way is to submit to engines yourself using a software like IBP never had a problem with it
Never Submited To SE (this is a mistaken concept by people) i get links to my site and get crawled "naturaly" by SE's
first of all is it necessary to submit in search engines ....uhh ..i would say that its mere time waste
