Don't know if it sold. Whois hasn't updated their database entry for the domain in 2 years. It's no longer a search engine at the very least.
That's too bad. These past few years have been especially tough on legacy services. Imagine if Google was ONLY a search engine after all these years. How well would it be doing? It would be following in the footsteps of the others, soon to be shut down. It's their own fault that they didn't evolve and offer more. Yahoo! is an example of one that tried to evolve but kept making really bad mistakes, buying up product after product and doing nothing with them. Soon it will be no more too.
