Hi I am looking for a way to scroll down to an area of a page when the page loads. Kind of like the jump to anchor but instead for it to scroll down when the page loads.

    Thanks

May I ask why? Why not just put that content at the top?

Well My client bought a template already and the header and banner are kind of large (height) so she wants it to scroll down up to the content when it loads, but also be able to scroll up ......just to be consistent through out the pages.... you know to look nice....... I seen a couple of plugins that pass the link with the id(#id), however I would want one that will execute when the page loads, to have a clean url....Hope you could help .Thanks

Make the header and banner smaller.

The only alternative I can think of off-hand would be to put an <a name> marker into the template and have some php reload the page to the marker - but no matter how you do it, it's going to be really messy. And a waste of bandwidth. And a very odd user experience. It'd be just as easy - or easier - to make the top part smaller.
