I was wondering if anyone has any experience of using scriptlance for their project?

I intend to have one large project built by those programmer and designer there.

For small/medium sized jobs, it is fine, but for a large project, I would go with RentACoder or oDesk based on what I have been hearing from others. Note that I am a developer, I haven't had experience as a service buyer in these sites.

Scriptlance is pretty good. I've worked as a freelancer there for 1-2 months. Fetched a good amount of money from there. I'd recommend you to post your project there. Many great programs are available who'll do your job professionally.

If its just designs, you could get an great one within $50-100(uncoded) and another $50-100 to get it implemented in your clone script. For a clone of facebook, roughly $500-1000 should be enough. However you might get it cheaper from some new programmers with no feedback. But not all of the new programmers can be trusted.

regarding new programmer: I get one project and that programmer was too busy and at the end didn't manage to finish my work. so I guess those with proper stars would be best way to go:

can i just tell the programmer to do CLONING of facebook or should I tell him exactly what the features are?

I have around 20 projects completed on SL (as a programmer).
There are professional programmers, but beware of those without any feedback - they might waste your time. Check out the feedback carefully, if most of the projects are for Data entry or something cheap and easy, and if there's at least one negative, stay away.

If your webmaster account is new (0 feedback), be prepared to escrow the money, it is normal because we programmers have the same problem with no-feedback webmasters - they often disappear :)

i got about 1 feedback and gonna have another 1 feedback coming. I dont worry about escrow but i'm worry about programmer and designer.

Basically, i'm looking for a good programmer with the sense of designing to clone the facebook.

What is the besst thing i should do? should I give out all details on what I want or should programmer give me a proposal? How much would that thing cost me, r3born?

    toby,
What I would recommend is being VERY precise. You must make sure you know what you want and how you want it to be done. This way, you will avoid time-wasting - I hear very often about webmasters who don't know what they want and keep on saying "I don't like it, that's not what I want" so designers sometimes give up :) Make sure the person you'll be working with is available 7/7 and has some kind of instant messenger.
I am not sure that you will be able to find somebody to make both programming and designing, perhaps it would be wiser to create the core first and then customize the design?

As Felu said, a clone of Facebook will cost you anything between $500-1000, depending on the number of functions you want implemented. Hope I answered your questions :)

reborn, how about the design? I would not be able to tell the programmer what design i like before he can give me the look of it, right?

Also how about the writeup? can that be included in the package as well?
should I go to scriplance or getacoder? Frankly, i only have feeback in getacoder

As for the design, check out the portfolio's. If you discover that you like most of the designs in the portfolio, go for the designer. Make sure to show him a couple of sites that you like so they can be inspired from it.

Copywriting - I think it's better to hire a professional copywriter, native English-speaker, to do that. Most of the designers/programmers at SL are not native English-speakers.

This, I don't really know... If I was to run such a big project, I wouldn't let a freelancer work on copywriting. Look for some professional services.
