A computer language that runs in the form in which you write it. It doesn't get compiled to an intermediate language or machine language. Also known as an interpreted language.

Script languages which are used in creating the web page. Not only that, scripts can also create applications as well. So, we know that they are very important to everything which is related to a website. The whole purpose of scripting languages is to let the computer understand a command given to them by a human. Computers cannot understand a person through spoken speech and therefore, we need a way to communicate with them. With these languages, we can put commands and ask the computer to perform any task that has been given to it. There various kinds of scripts out there with many same basic functions but some have different capabilities from others.

GrowTaller, compiled languages serve the same purpose, "to let the computer understand a command given to them by a human". The sole difference is that a scripted language doesn't get compiled.
