This is a long shot, but is there any type of script which would display the city the user is browsing from?
Sure, You will have to buy a database first. You can get one at http://ip2location.com/ for some $199 . Or you can use the service from http://www.hostip.info/use.html You use it like this http://api.hostip.info/get_html.php?ip=123.123.123.123 You can even get the latitude and lognitude. [EDIT] Just wanted to add that they also have a downloadable database at: http://www.hostip.info/dl/index.html Thomas
whoa......I corrected my location to New York (while I am in CA) hostip.info just accepted. What kind of database is that????
Hey its a free db after all. It will have mistakes. They update it every month. A paid db will be more accurate and will cost you anywhere from $199 to $347 per server. Another db is available at http://www.maxmind.com/app/city Thomas
