Script to Disable Status Bar?

Is there a JavaScript or any other to disable showing
URL in status bar. I know a code which should add
to "each link". What I mean is a single script which
can work for all the links in a page.

Hi,

Can I set this script in head section and apply
the effect to only the selected links with id
attribute. I mean I don't want to apply the
effect to all links and also for the ones I need
the effect I don't want to add that long code
to each link.
