    Hi all,

Quick question. If I have a custom coded arcade script and am selling it for $49.99. If someone purchases and uploads the script, what rights do I have over the people who download and use this script without paying?

I really clueless when it comes to the legalities of things like this. Can I get the site shutdown? Can I take control of the domain? How far could I go?

    Thanks.

If they are hosted in the US, you could file a DMCA to have the site taken down. You could also sue them for copyright infringement, however, unless you have a lot of money to spend on legal fees, it probably isn't worth doing. You could wind up spending tens of thousands of dollars and even if you won, you would likely have a hard time collecting.
