Hey guys. When I take a screenshot of a window (print scr + alt), and then paste it into photoshop, nothing shows up...and if I go new, it doesn't make a new canvas the size of what the screenshot is which is SHOULD do. It's really annoying and I don't why it's doing this. I end up having to copy and paste the screenshot into Paint and then cut out the pieces I want and THEN is pastes into Photoshop. How can I fix this problem? Thanks, Alex
It's actually XP. I didn't get the problem like less than a week ago..it's just suddenly sprung up on me for some odd reason.
Printscreen, then go into Photoshop. Then select new and an empty new space will show up where you can paste your image.
That's what should happen - but from the first post it doesn't sound like it is, and it didn't for me when I had the problem. Thanks for trying to help though tomten
This might help. Get Firefox installed and then use this add-on called Save as Image that I personally find handy whenever I need to take screenshots. It saves the whole page, even what is below the visible screen.
Only if firefox is serving the screen. I take screenshots of many more things than web content. cipriani - would that be enough?
Well, it's worth a try, but I also do take screenshots of things other than what's on my internet browser.
Worth giving a try, however it may be even easier sometimes. In my case, a simple Photoshop restart would solve the CTRL+V of a screenshot when it stopped working. Happens...
yep CliveRay some times happens to me to lol If I have a problem with a program, I always unistall, then install it again, works 75% of the time Good Luck any way cipriani!
Annoying yhough, isn't it Especially when you're on a deadline when Photoshop starts playing with you.
Print Screen then paste into PS. or Hold ALT + Pnrt Scrn not the other way around. If that doesn't work, you have a big problem.
Alt + Printscreen is to capture the active window only. While printscreen only would capture the whole screen and everything in its background. With the Ctrl key, not really sure though.
