GIMP 2.5 claims it can capture screenshots with the mouse pointer

    it is possible?

how do i set it up?

you can always grab a cursor image from kde-look.org and put the cursor on the pointer-less screenshot manually....

I was going to say, I don't know how it would claim this, and I've never seen/heard of this feature and I've been a GIMP user for 8 years now.

I primarily use GIMP on Linux/Mac, and I know the code to acquire the mouse pointer would be different on each, so I can imagine manually putting the cursor on would be the easiest and probably what I would try first even if it had the feature...

hmm, I went to use the GIMP and noticed that version 2.6 is the current one - try version 2.6 from gimp.org < it's a free download.

I was just wondering because the Grab tool in OS X allows you to not only grab the screen or windows, but the cursor as well, and your choice of pointer while you're at it!
