Screen recording software - any recommendations?

    I am looking a screen recording software something similar to: Camtasia Studio but do not wanna shell out $299

    Can anyone recommend something similar?

    Wow that post was completely pointless, the poster said they didn't want to use Camtasia.... did you even read?.

    On Topic: Open source free software can sometimes even be better than the big box expensive software. I agree with everyone else go with camstudio.

    I'd say Camtasia, it's free and easy to use. But I've got some problem with its voice synchronizing.

    Well I don't think Camtasia is a treat for everyone, at least it cost you a lot once you catch a glimpse of it. It's saner to choose freeware like Camstudio or, if you like to do video editing and insist to buy a commercial software, DemoCreator will be more economical.

    Camtasia is a excellent product, I believe it is well worth the price. You get much more then just the screen recording you can do some seriously fun stuff with it.

    But since you don't want to pay go for Camstudio

    Camtasia is pretty good, but I agree that it's too expensive for what it does. I'd give that Camstudio program a go.
