"scraping" Google a la Dogpile.com

    Hi All-

    As I was looking at Dogpile.com (a meta search engine that returns results from Yahoo, MSN, and Google all at once), a thought occured to me...

    What exactly are they doing here? Are they "scraping" and parsing Google/Yahoo/MSN results on the fly? Wouldn't that be fairly server intensive to do?

    Also, do you think there would be any legal ramification to "scraping" Google results like this, or does it fall into the public domain (a la yellow pages data)?
