The colors in the design can be improved so it will be easier to navigate. Fixing your errors will improve your rankings. Go to validator.w3.org and correct every page.
I think the colour isn't bad if you are trying to attract a goth-type member. You could try a lighter colour at the sides to make it easier on the eyes. It's a good domain name which would be wasted if it's just the forums and reviews. You could try and set up some kind of referral ad to a sci-fi bookseller so you make a percent on what members buy.
try grey instead of green bars you could make the forums larger in width - take the ads from the left and put them between your threads/messages good luck!
i love your horror forum love the blood beside the logo not too sure about the green as stated before, overall you ahve done a good job.
