Well, invisibility is no longer science fiction. Researchers working with meta materials have been able to make an object partially invisible:http://news.yahoo.com/s/space/20061019/sc_space/scientistscreatecloakofpartialinvisibility
No sir, I wasn't in the bank....oh, it no-longer has any money in it...wow, who could have done that!? Miss, so you're telling me that all these ladies model for sun tan lotion and take showers in that place every sunday at 2:00?
Could also be used on dates! Guys, if you are embarrassed about being ..uh.. inadequate. Just claim its partially invisible!
I can just imagine that the government and military are salivating at the thought of getting this technology off the ground. A lot of people are excited about it, and I'am to, but it is easy for me to see that this technology can be easily abused. The only people who will truly benefit from it are intelligence agencies such as the CIA, or the military. In fact, I can't think of anything good that this technology could be used for. Invisibility can actually be dangerous if it falls into the hands of the wrong people. It would be the ideal tool for serial killers, rapist, terrorist, contract killers, or spies. In other words, absolutely nothing good can come from the introduction of this technology.
Neat, but far from completion. I think it would take centuries for it to move onto objects as large as humans, aircrafts, etc.
