Silicon Valley is experimenting with bacteria that have been genetically altered to provide 'renewable petroleum'

Hopefully this becomes more popular and a reliable source to fuel my truck. People are starting to resort to siphoning gas out of the vehicles that dont have locking gas caps in our neighborhood

This does nothing for disasterous effect that burning petrol for energy or disposing of petroleum based products has on our environment.

There are already many energy sources better then oil that we should be researching, not more ways to make petroleum.

Wow ! How many bugs to make a gallon? Where will they keep all the bugs? Can we keep the bugs in the car?

I agree with you completely but petroleum = $$$ and money makes people not care about certain things in life.
