You know if DP didn't have trolls ruining threads for their own retarded reasons, a lot of our debates would make sense to many and it would really be educational. Note: I am not taking you as a troll, you know who I am talking about ;).

I read over half of it-very educational-thanks Will.

    Great ending too...

"Just as important, the practice of religion must be a matter of choice for the individual, not enforced by the state. This leaves secular humanism, based on common sense and the principles of logic and reason, as our only reasonable choice for governance and progress. Being scientists, we understand this easily. The task is to persuade those who do not."

I find it amusing that you claim to know the plans of Al Qaeda. When were you recruited? When were you put in charge?

That's what science is all about, identifying problems and finding solutions. In the West, we call this progress.

Please, telll me that you aren't stupid enough to believe that our ousting of Saddam had anything to do with oil. Oy vey...

At $74/barrel, oil is still cheaper than the alternatives for the purposes for which we currently utilize it.

And there you have it. Your true feelings finally come out.

Tell me this little man -- if what you say is true, why isn't it in the civilized worlds best interests to proactively kill off every Islamist? If your goal is to conquer us, then killing you off first is a very reasonable move on our part.

Never forget this: We can kill all of you, but you can't kill all of us.

If you don't want that to happen, you had better learn to live in peace.

Dave, this doesn't make sense when you consider that only a very small portion of the Muslim world benefits from oil wealth. The majority of Islamic nations and the majority of Muslims are dirt poor.

    That's pretty key for me.

As Hamba Wena explained above, Islam intends to rule the world. I have no intention of letting that happen while I am still alive.

Dateline ~1950-1988: "Commies intend to rule the world" and "They are a massive imminent threat"

Facts: The threat was page 1 news for years.
The fact our leaders exaggerated the threat was "page 17" news for 'one or two days'.

Want to argue, or disagree this fact?
"Go ahead and try, I will eventually take time to prove my statement.

    Does anyone see a similarity?
