Ok, Well since I own and operate an arcade site, my main concern is several clicks from one IP (school or work), but on different computers. Possibly even on the same computer, if someone logs off and someone else logs in. Is this OK with Adsense and Google? Thanks!
I can't imagine that this would be a problem since it is so common. My educated guess is that Google would detect the clicks as odd and check the IP. Since it will easily be able to tell if it is a school district or university IP it will understand. Also if two people click on the same computer within a large network click the ads it won't make a difference because the only thing that changes is the internal IP and the outside world can't see that. I wouldn't loose sleep about it.
Whew. Thanks. Because I'm doing some very heavy promoting in my own school, and I'm expecting the word to go around, and didn't want to get banned.
I think there is no perfect prevent something happen. but you can delete cookies and history record prevent someone login to your adsense account. (I have had login to someone else email in school by accidentally, therefore i known how to do) Delete from desktop -> internet explorer -> properties
its probably a good idea to log into your adsense in a secure place like home and nowhere else. i also had an arcade site. it was one of the few unfiltered ones and i once logged in adsense from school. surely enough google sent me a warning email and counted the legit clicks as invalid which reduced my check by about 30 something dollars wasnt happy but what can i do
i work for a very (VERY) large company and the internet connection for all employee's gets piped thru one giant proxy - ONE IP .. since i've checked my adsense stats from work several times, i ended up blocking access to my site for everyone on that IP... call me paranoid, but i'd rather be safe than sorry..
