Hello to all, I am a novice when it comes to Wordpress. With that said, if I understand correctly some Wordpress developers have recently made changes to their themes and frameworks. Some of these changes were schema (and HTML5) specific. I have a few questions regarding schema markup and Wordpress itself. How best would I make the site-wide and page specific markups? As I see it… I believe the current default schema markup found in HTML5 Wordpress themes is “creativework" - "blog”. Is this correct? I can use the new “Microdata Manager” plugin to make the site-wide markup more topic-specific? But as I understand it, changes to the schema settings would be done on a page by page basis. (1) Is this accurate? (2) And would those that are more knowledgeable about coding recommend this solution? (3) Or would it be better (or cleaner) to use a more detailed approach, one that alters the files that come with the specific theme? With respect to marking up specific content within the pages (or posts) using schema: (4) How would this be done? (5) Is it as easy as embedding the schema code into the “html” portion of the WordPress editor where the content actually displays (i.e. a business address and name)? Or does the schema markup belong in theme files and/or elsewhere in the html code found on the pages themselves (such as the header tag). There’s so much info regarding schema (both Wordpress and non-Wordpress related). But I’m afraid there is little out there that touches on code placement and/or best practices. Your thoughts would be appreciated.
