    I'm looking for a way that I can run scandisk + defrag automatically one after another. I want to be able to go to sleep and while I sleep it will run scandisk and then when finished run defrag.

    Any thoughts?? THANKS!

    I think you can set it up using Scheduled Task Wizard.

    Start->All Programs->Accessories->System Tools->Scheduled Tasks.

    I'm not sure whether it start automatically but you can try.

    If you're using Windows Me, then there's a maintenance wizard, built within.

    The scheduled tasks area does not allow it to start automatically. I want to set it and forget about it. I wouldn't mind using 3rd party software...whatever gets the job done.

    I want it to work on XP at least...ideally 98, ME, 2000, XP, & Vista.

    I did figure out how to get it to work with the windows scheduling manager but it isn't exactly what I want.

    Ideally I'd like to pop in a bootable CD and have everything automated from there.

    Any ideas?
