Why are members allowed to continually post fake screenshots and scam members?

This response is from another thread, but I think it fits here and I don't think I could say it much better.

    thanks buffalo,
that was helpful as i got fake screen shot to, i payed and the guy did a runner with my money.
then he even had the cheek to give me a bad itrader lol :D, and of course admin will not remove it :(
    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/itrader_detail.php?ir=435503&u=195168

as for the amount of itraders a member has, these days they are building them up to be trusted then rip a dp member of $1000, not good at all. meaning they have good history but rip you anyway.

    anyway thanks again buffalo.
    cheers.

Because they can and they do and they get caught and they die. That's it. They simply fizzle away into the netherworld of what was once the figment of mans imagination. They are an illusion in the Realm of molecular poop-pies and often mistaken for reality. Especially if you step on one.

And I have no i_Traders so therefore I too am a fraud! Be off with your head! You imitator! There, that's better.

That's precisely why you should be more diligent in researching people to do business with. iTrader is faulty metric -- very faulty. There is no way for it to be perfect and fair (staff can't verify every deal, people are afraid to leave negative because they might get negative too, etc.). It's your responsibility to be careful about who you do business with -- research past deal threads, their business site, etc.

Exactly. I have seen moderators being scammed in DP.
Its an open and free market. You choose what you do and whom you do business with.

You say it's up the users and moderators are not going to get involved regarding scams. Yet I see a topic like this as a sticky in the services section: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=854797 . Someone got involved there changing the topic and making it a sticky.

Those of us that wish to use legitimate screenshots have to suffer because of all the fakeyness with sellers. There are even websites setup especially for making fake Google Adsense earnings screenshots. WTF!! :(

That also had absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with a staff member getting involved in a private business dispute. It had to do with someone massively and repeatedly spamming DP users via PM -- a previous major problem. So don't assume intervention was due to something else. It's a completely different situation.

I got one i_Trader you just can't see it I guess. I paid a guy 25 dollars and some change (to cover the Paypal thing) to post on my forum... And by God... He/she (not sure) did a fine job and got PAID. Imagine that!
