Scammers and Thieves

A few weeks ago, I posted a thread on this forum selling Porn Site Start Ups, tube sites with premium designs.

It's just been brought to my attention that some of the designs are going around. Thats not right. I spent time and money making them and others spent money buying them.

If I find that you are using my designs without paying for them - I will do everything I can to get you to stop.

To the person that did buy my package and thought it was a good idea to give it out to their friends, SCREW YOU. It's because of people like you that makes it so hard to be a full-time self employed web developer.

With that said, the point of the thread is to let the other Adult webmasters on DP know whats going on and to ask them to please not take part in this bullshit. If you see someone selling or giving away my designs, please tell me. Its the right thing to do. If they're your friends, please have the respect not use it like RapidLoad did.

This infuriates me for two reasons.

1. I bought one of those packages. It compromises the integrity of my site, the uniqueness and I feel somewhat scammed as a result. Obviously not by the developer but the thieves themselves.

2. As a fellow developer this offends me. I absolutely can't stand people who take other people's work without the proper licensing - even if it isn't my work.

If I see any of these templates being used by people who did not by the script directly off nando, I will make sure I report them to both nando and the appropriate hosting sites. I bought a package full knowing that not everyone could have them. However, these people have ruined it for me.

I will keep my eyes on the lookout for anyone Giving away and/or selling this Design or any other designs. And to anyone that is doing this it is not fair to the designer and/or the other people that buy this design. I also agree 1000% with blang. I have also purchased this design So to sum it up SCREW YOU IF YOU DO.

 

I will keep my eyes open as well. This is definitely not fair for the developer nor the people that buy them. It just goes to show that some people lack self-respect and respect for the work of others.

 

I will keep my eye out for this as well. I want to become a web designer some day and I would be pissed if people steal my hard work.

c'mon, there's plenty of low-cost templates, why people are so dumb...

 

thanks for the support and comments all... I was planning to release 8 more templates but I'm just going to sell them once from now on... if people want to share what they pay for and remove the custom/unique aspect of it, thats their problem...

But you can take solice in the knowledge that those who need to rip your work just don't have the talent to create it themselves, and furthermore have very little hope of making any money from their lame efforts.

I feel for you. I've had entire sites copied before, so I know how it goes. Just keep policing your work. If you ever come across an unlicensed copy, give the person the option to pay for it or to stop using it. Maybe you'll get a couple of sales out of it. Either way, whoever did this is scum and should really feel ashamed.

 

if you know the site using the stolen designs email there host and they will (if there decent) ask them to remove them and terminate there account if they don't.

I had a fucker from this forum steal one of my sites designs a week or so ago...

 

Sucks when people rip ya off. Sorry to hear that. Make sure you get them.

 

yep this sucks ... maybe add some custom comments into the coding in the future ... then at least you'll know who should get a kicking ... I released a product a while ago (not on here) and part of the T&C was that they didn't "share" it with anyone and a resellers license fee of $5,000 would be charged if they were found to be doing so ... may be worth adding something like that to your conditions mate ... yes its hard to police / press but it does give you great ammo when your contacting hosts

You can never completely stop this mate.. People with low integrity keep popping up

 

sorry to hear this happened...people like that spoil it for everyone else.

 

it's unfortunate that people have to stoop to this level.

 

Sorry to heard that,my husband is software developer and his stuf often get shared on file hosting sites like rapidshare
but you can stop that,only thing you can do is to report to hosting provider,and
hope that they do something.
Developers lose alot of money because this scammers & thieves
