    Hi Everyone,

I thought I would share this nice experience, which applies to all of these lame web hosts..:)

Few months ago, there were so many ads for SameerHosting, LightspeedHosting, LightspeedServer, all were running by a 15 year old called Jordan McKeag, and was scamming many people..

If you didn't follow, here are some threads... Read it...

    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1249996&highlight=sameerhosting&page=7

    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1249674&highlight=sameerhosting

Read the bottom parts, how people are scammed..

As soon as I ordered, my site was down every now and then, and the scammer was never refunding my money. This happened to many people, and PayPal being the main mode of Payment there and PayPal doesn't cover "digital services", many were in trouble.

When I told him I will contact PayPal when he wasn't refunding, he told me "good luck", don't ask me for hosting again when you lose the case.

I was very angry with the response.

What I did was, SCAMMED the SCAMMER!!!! LOL !!!! :):)

I went to PayPal, filed a case, saying, its about 25 days and still my "Web Hosting Book" did not come in the mail, I was waiting for too long. And I also told I contacted seller several times and had no response, so straight away, I escalated it to a claim...

    LOL....

Jordan was asked for the TRACKING NUMBER.... He replied: "Non-comusable goods" (He intended Non-consumable goods!!)

and entered the tracking number as "12345"..

    WOW

4 days later, I was refunded...

    AND.. THEN.....

My main domain was deactivated, but my sub domains were not!! I used them for BULK MAILING!!!

He PLAYED ME, I PLAYED HIM!! Fair enough?? I also gave him enough trouble pretending to be a person to buy hosting through LIVE CHAT and PISSED HIM OFF!!!!!!!!

    What do you guys think?????

I am not someone who takes it back to people, BUT.... his responses made me really angry!!

    What do you guys think?????

    LOL.......

although it was fair, it wasn't very smart to post it publicly here cuz someone co uld just take this to paypal and connect it to your transaction - but the person would have to be pretty smart about it

but i don't think you even had to do anything "scammy" - opening a dispute claiming the scam would have been more than enough.

It seemed like a good idea up until you said bulk mailing.

http://www.spamcop.net/ - this is why I say this. You're in deep shit if these guys come after you.

That is not possible because we cant open another dispute on same transaction. Once the dispute is closed, the transaction is locked

But address the root cause.....y do webhosts scam people??? coz of you guys who give them a chance and often force them.
When a genuine guy comes with his package....you dont buy coz its costly. And this genuine guy then is forced to make his plans as cheap as those of the scammers to stay in the market. Often he fails to maintain the cost of the server and scams.
And there are many nowadays who knows that they can easily scam people with hosting. So why do you go for such people??? even when this thread is running and many readers too will go and sign up for the plans of the scammers.

Yes rahuldas14, I agree with you
When we see unlimited web space, it clearly means a person is overselling.

Well done mate! I like it!

I've been scammed by him in the past. If i'm correct RDAHosting and Sameer Hosting were run by the same person?

    Thanks,

    Ultralite.
