Scammer on Getafreelancer.com - codingtable aka Matrix Soft Solutions

I has been ripped by codingtable aka Matrix Soft Solutions when I approved him on my large project via GAF, first i made deposit 1000$ as usual in escrow account so he can start to work and two weeks later he come to me and ask for another 1000$ but this time don't transfer to escrow account anymore, he want to transfer to his Paypal account, the reason is he need some urgent money for his living, and that's my bad mistake because i want him complete this project on time. After he got the money via Paypal he promise the project will be done in next 2 weeks, and when the time coming he just give me see 5% of what i assign him to do, and the quality is very bad, i'm very angry and request he refund so that i can find another provider because i lost over 1 month on him for nothing, he told me please wait for 1 week because he don't have money in Paypal right now, when another customer transfer money to him he will be refund to me and this thing never happen because then he disapeared on the Net and i don't have any way to get my money back.

I told this story because recently i see him on this forum with the nick codingtable and make some offer so i want to warning for anyone who will be deal with him, please think twice before going with this scammer.

I chosen him because he offer the lowest cost if compare with another provider, "you get what you pay for" the old lesson

 

Well, you said it right. You got what you paid for. This isn't anything new. Things like this happen every day. Myself being a freelancer at getafreelancer.com, I oftenly see people picking the lowest bidder and in two weeks or so they are posting the same project again. This may be of all sorts of different reasons but your case probably makes a certain percentage of it. The only thing you can do is provide this information to others so they wouldn't do the same mistake again.

i completed registeration, photo, notes, administrator panel somehwat, what else in 20 days

suddenly he says , i am not interested as it will take more time to complete the project, what the hell,
are we coders here to waste our time, who will pay for those 20 days

beware of these types of buyers , specially bizmann
you see the quality , tell him to show you , you will see who is bad, me or he

many buyers have seen that and they simply say "excellent"

he will just waste your time and wont pay you

Firstly ensure you have a contract in place so that you can legally pursue the buyer for the monies owed.

Secondly get a decent percentage deposit up front before a single line of code is written - easy way of sorting the clients from the time wasters.

 

There isn't really anything you can do about it. Next time make sure to get more information on the buyer and ask around to see if he's a respected member on DP. Don't do business with anyone that doesn't have a good amount of posts and itrader ranking.

he thought he purchased me and not my site
so i am his slave now

 

Lesson learned!!

Abide by rules and don't release escrow until unless you get for what you escrowed.

pre-mature release kills the purpose of escrow. :-|

-I can't beleive you said that, you steal my money and then insult me for the wrong fact.
- Do you use your head just to wear the hat ? I paid upfront 1000$ via Paypal (picture on my first post of this thread) and also make another 1000$ via escrow on GAF of the project for the start and spend over 2 month with you just to request the money back ?? You made me lost the passion of my favourite project because the bad quality of your service, that's the best mistake i ever had.

- For people want to see the price of the project please see it HERE
- I still save the contract and will post if need
- I had let him 3 week to pay back my money, I just request 70% the money back but seem he's too greedy for money, I'm very patient to send tons of email to him and got no reply about the issue even he had read them.
- I can go further in detail but I think everybody will understand what happen between us.

P/S : just 1 question for codingtable : Are you a human ?

that time you cleanly said , i am ready to pay 1000$, all of you see the codes, he has it and tell me is it of bad quality?

its simple, when a car driver hits a cyclist , car driver is in mess no matter all mistake was of cyclist, so here is same, all mistake of mine since i am coder and none of your since you are a buyer?

@glendowney : I can't make the chargeback via Paypal because the transaction is over 45 days from the day of payment, I had the chance to do that but I think he's a business man so he will solve the issue just about the time but i was wrong.

@codingtable : Please be honest and polite man. I wish i would have any line of the sourcecode from you, but the true is I GOT NOTHING.
