Hi, I'm sure you're sick and tired of threads about scams, and this one is just over $15, but that was my $15 I got from winning my first logo contest and I'm really annoyed it's gone to some stupid scammer. I had someone on my contact list and they said they were selling resellers, I needed one and so I asked for one. He gave me details etc and I agreed to it, and he sent me his paypal adress over msn and I sent ~$15 to his paypal he gave me. A few seconds later, he says 'By paying you agree to our TOS', however he said that after I sent the money, so I guess that dosent count. I then go to his TOS and I spot 1/2 way through it says NO refunds NO MATTER WHAT. I think that this spells trouble so I tell him. He says that he assumed I agreed to them. I think, lets go along, and hopefully it wont be a problem if nothing goes wrong. BUT, sure as nuts, when I log on the next day, expecting an email with account info, I see nothing. Furthermore he has blocked me on MSN! I know he has blocked me because my friend was going to buy his company for $8,000USD and I asked him. I ask him to send a message to him, and he says that theres another guy from IG-UK on MSN, so I add them. I tell them I know they are a scam, and after a while they admit to it and mock me about it, this makes me very angry. He says that even if I do report them then they can still change their domain and template and start over again. Theres no winning Heres their MSNs Feel free to add them and really annoy them Is there any way I can get back at them? Thanks
well thats bad.. people cheating for peanuts...like their have no dignity left in them..sorry man.. even if its 15 bucks.. they were your hard earned money.. please check if their is something you can find here.. http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=367170 Regards, RugbyMan
I don't see how it's different from the MSN option to 'Show my last converstation in new conversation windows' ? Thanks anyway, Hecky
Scammers are always out there and people always get burnt! but like the guy said, they will just shut shop and restart again. You only course of action would be to create a dispute via Paypal oh! and obviously register their emails on as many sites as possible i am sure they will appriciate the spam
Yes, a dispute would be your very best bet. Send an email to Paypal and attach all the required Screenshots of the talks, from start to finish. $15 or $1500, it's your money. No one has the rights to take it from you.
It's probably too long ago, and it's electronic goods so I can't really claim, I was once scammed for $150, paypal got $10 back. Oh well, I hope this guy spends it well
You could go onto all the sites returned by this: Search And politely ask for your money back in front of his peers and potential customers. Maybe then you would get a response.
Well..that is bad...But I also think you should start a dispute in paypal and i think that will get his funds to be freezed.....
Do it anyway it cost him money for the domain and he has to make a whole new template. It's a waste of his time.
