Scammer, FBI doing nothing

Contacted 911. They forwarded me to FBI. FBI forwarded me to IC3, which only has an internet form and they never respond.

Scammer is currently selling same item. However, NO ONE is cooperating with me because I do not have a court order to get more information on this guy. I have possible places to get info from him, but for customer privacy, the companies will not show anything. Is there any way to speed up a court order? I've already filed a complaint to city hall. How long will that take to get to the courts? I told city hall the information is urgent.

I basically just need to get this guy arrested before he scams more people. Everything's such a SLOW process though.I need people who can take action immediately. My neighbor is a cop and he says I need a court order first, but I have no idea how long the city hall complaint will get to the courts. This guy is nearly caught (item on sale again, need quick action before it's no longer for sale)! I don't want him to sell the item off and not list it again and lose the chance to catch him. Ideas?

How much is the amount involved? From what I know those agencies are swamped with such complaints, I seriously do not think they will bother unless it is a high profile case.

$5000. Honestly I've already made the money back, but I'm just so disgusted by this guy (he almost scammed my friend too) that nothing would make me happier right now than to throw this guy in jail. The amount I'm guessing won't get me noticed. I have no idea where to go for help.

Transaction was not through DP so mods have no issue in this.

Isn't 911 for emergencies? Not sure if same system as England, but you should have a local system too. If it's the same, that's not cool for hogging the operator while someone who needs it can't get through.

Yea, seriously, calling 9-1-1 for something like that isn't cool. You have another non-emergency phone number for that.

Anyways, $5000 is a pretty big amount. If you are really keen on stopping this guy, go ahead and get a lawyer. They'll help you and speed things up quite a bit.

Wow, not a single person being helpful here. I called 911 and told them it wasn't an emergency, which is directed to a separate line mind you.

Lawyer won't necessarily be any use here as it's a criminal case. If he was violating a contract (which I originally suspected), then a lawyer would be useful here. I'm looking more to get this guy in jail.

    Can we have more details?
What exactly was the transaction? Where did it take place? What state(s)?
The more you tell us, the more we might be able to help.

You are very unlikely to get any thing done for such a thing. the FBI deals in cons worth many thousand, they will not even give yours a second look. As far as city hall, they have jurisdiction outside of your county much less your state. You can get as many court orders as you wish but they are not enforceable unless they are in the area where the guy live. You only hope is to hire a lawyer and take him to small claims court in his area but the expense will out weigh what you get back.

Face the facts, you really can't do a whole lot except try to scare the guy.

The only reason I haven't been very specific is because I want to keep it low while I'm trying to catch him. DigitalPoint has strong search rankings, and I'd hate to have him stumble on this thread and realize what I'm doing to catch him. If I wasn't really scammed, why would I waste my time?

He is currently trying to sell the item again, and I was thinking of a police sting operation. However, I'm not sure if I need to get anything cleared first? Do they need a court order? Any other ideas to catch this guy? He's trying to scam again, so he's just asking to be caught, but the authorities (FBI, etc.) are NOT working with me. He can seriously be caught tomorrow, but by the time the authorities do respond, he'll have ran away by then. So I'm looking for faster ways to get the authorities involved.
