How come you paid him upfront? You're paying for something which has not been produced. I would rather have given a deposit of a percentage of $225 rather than the full amount to be on the safe side.

Hope you get your money back, mate.

I would like to point out that MwWebDesigns, Matt B (hxxp://forums.digitalpoint.com/member.php?u=99260) and Web_Designer (hxxp://forums.digitalpoint.com/member.php?u=201156) are the same person. Avoid this scammer if he gives you his paypal address which is proxymatt_at_live.com... BEWARE!

When I found out that Matt B is the same person, I did some research and found out about his information via DirectNic website:

    Domain name:
    customwp.co.uk

    Registrant:
    DatMob Ltd.

    Registrant type:
    Unknown

    Registrant's address:
    145-157 St John Street
    London
    EC1V 4PY
    GB

Use google maps to find a list of companies under the address and you'll find a web service company (hxxp://www.123internetdesigns.com/) and that's probably where this so called "Matt Walsh" works at. You can give it a try but this information is not very accurate.

I'm a victim of his scams as well.

Hence, "...this information is not very accurate." Either way, I'm just spreading out the word to any DP'ers to prevent being scammed by MwWebDesigns, Matt B or any other alias he uses.

i dont think he will be stupid enough to use a real address and scam you for 225 dollars !!!!!

it is common for scummers to use others work or company's info.

    my 2 cents

Tthanks for the heads up, but dang, if it was $1k would u have paid $500.

That reallly is a bit dim, $50/100 is a good amount to get the work started and see some results before you pay any more.

Paypal disputes are a waste of effort as they always settle in favour of the seller on services.

ANYONE WANT A REAL DESIGN SERVICE CONTACT ME :)

Screw paypal...I'd file directly with the credit card company (assuming you paid via credit card). If you paid directly out of your bank account, things don't get any easier for you. I like dealing with the credit cards because they fight on your behalf since you're their customer, while Paypal couldn't give a damn which way a claim goes. Even if you win with Paypal, they try to collect as much as they can but a full refund is not always guaranteed if I'm not mistaken.
