Hello, I thought I should warn other forum members about dblock120. A few weeks ago I purchased a proxy from him that was advertised in this thread: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=401281 After paying for a re-design and advertising on both proxy.org and proxyannouncer.com my site was mysteriously taken from me. He had offered free hosting for 2 years and has since used his hosting ability to steal my site. Please ban this guy admin, I am willing to show all screens relating to this transaction (paypal confirmation and DP PM) inorder to prove that he has infact scammed me. The site in www.unblockmysurf.com. If anyone knows of any way to re-aquire my site please let me know as this has never happened to me before. Billy
He stole your domains by giving you hosting for 2 months? You must be kidding me, right. All you need to do is to change nameservers for the domain for the hosting and not transfer the domain to the hosting company. If you talking about the content/files, i'm pretty sure you'd have a backup or something. Everyone should keep a backup while using a free webhost.
Hey man Do this to him if he have taked down your site and Putted his adsense code there up: Click Some 30times on his adsense ads, than E-mail google that This guy offered you $10 if you would click there 30times on his ads But say to google that he didn't paid you and ask what you should do? By this It will be Triple Warning from google to him and ban to him If you want to teach him what happens to scammers after that Offer Him that you could send again e-mail to google by saying that it was just misstake if he will give back to you site! In any way By doing this You could get your site back if It would scare him Just my suggestion
I recieved a negative feedback from him today which is just a joke when you look at the source code of my site www.unblockmysurf.com and his site http://iwebproxy.info/ and you notice they have the exact same adsense codes. To the above poster I have 2 years of free hosting not two months. The guy has changed my cpanel pass and changed all of my adsense codes. This guy should be banned by DP mods and I am willing to show all necessary screens such as paypal and PM messages to prevent this guy from scamming someone else.
I don't understand. You own the domains, right? Can't you just find a new host and change nameservers?
Where is the domain registered? Which registrar? You haven't lost the site. You've lost only the hosting. Buy a different hosting, upload your proxy's files there, change the nameservers of your domain name to the new hosting's nameservers, and you're done. Tell me which domain registrar (for example: Namecheap, Godaddy, Dynadot... etc.) your domain is with and I'll give you links to specific instructions on how to change nameservers.
the problem is I don't have access to the domain. He said he had to settle something with the registrar and he would send me updated info when he it was resolved. I never recieved any of this so essentially I am out the entire site plus the additional money I spent on a re-design and advertising. Billy
Maybe you are a new sort in domain/webmaster world. Ok, just answer this simple question:- * When and from where or by whom did you first registered the domain name unblockmysurf.com ? Then we may give you more solutions.
BBOQ: PM me your Yahoo/MSN id. I'll get to you tomorrow after school and i might be able to get the domains back from the guy.
He registered the domain @ estdomains.com As mentioend earlier he told me he couldnt push the domain because he had some issues with the registrar that he was attempting to sort out. He never got back to me on this. And yes I am new o the webmaster world I just took this hobby up in the last month and feel pretty badly after being scammed already.
@BBOQ, this is the way I think to get your site back. Scamming a scammer is not a crime. At least I think so.
The OP BOUGHT the domain from the scammer, so he never ACTUALY had control over it. - Sorry to hear that mate, , I suggest you buy a proxy package from "karan265" on these forums.
If you want to waiste time teaching the scammer then you can do those hardworkings of clicks etc. or else start a new proxy by using your efforts there. Scammers always scam even for one cent. And here you didn't ever had control over your domain so, it's very hard or almost impossible to get your domain name back. Sorry to hear about this incident. Regards,
