I outsouced some articles to this service Affordable Content about 2 months ago, and paid up front with PayPal. They said the articles would be ready in a week, but so far they haven't sent me anything. I've emailed and called, but the hacks at Affordable Content are oblivious to all complaints. So I do a charge back with PayPal and they tell me I'm out of Luck because it was a digital service, or some thing like that. Should I just chalk this one up as a loss, or is there any other way to get my money back?
It all depends how your sourced the funds through paypal, if you paid paypal through your credit card then you can call you credit card company and complain to the fraud department, this way your credit card will take it back from paypal and they can fight over it. If you paid through your bank account then your hooped. Just call paypal and talk to managers ive been through this i know what you are going through Good luck
Dude, call that company, maybe you can make something out of it. Also get the articels before you pay.
PayPal appears to offer no protection for digital services like articles or ebooks. Canada Web Design, good idea I never thought of going "upstream" to the credit card that I have on the Paypal account. Naish, I've called, emailed from 2 different email accounts, and filled out their web form. They seem to be content on ignoring customer's so I'm not going to waste any more of my time begging to get something I paid for and was promised 2 months ago.
that dude (Eric Odom) ripped me off $347.00 in november. Myself a a couple other DP member posted that he was ripping people off in a thread he had. A month or so ago he showed up here at DP http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=67584 to sell some links, he said in his thread that it was to pay off some of us that he owed money to. I pmed him to be sure some of that money came my way.... guess what? he disapeared again. so, i would not count on getting anything from this guy - Eric Odom aka Zman
Has he disputed back the chargeback ?? Because if the seller doesnt dispute it back ...in 10 days PayPal automatically claims the side of the buyer ...
i think the best thing you can do is to swallow the loss and move on... paypal won't do anything and it's not worth your distress...
