A couple of days ago I asked if I was allowed to sell for a friend and I was told I could if I had access to the stuff being sold.

So I told my "friend" this and he gave me a cpanel access to the site being sold.

He sold a site here and the another member sent him 400+ dollars.
He promised me a couple hundred for posting the for sale ad up for him.

Now my inbox is filled with messages from the guy who is seemingly being scammed cause that guy has gone missing and is not transfering the site and has blocked me out of the site.

So I do not know what to do. Help would be great

You being scammed is your Problem and not Dp's

Many people have been scammed, No regular trader would be there on the internets who has never been scammed.

Mods cannot help you, Just be careful next time

    Christy :)

Okay got that but ANOTHER member was scammed as well because this bastard to be blunt just messed with me and ended up using me to scam another person. That is what I was getting at mostly. My concerns about that.

I thought jhmattern said something along the lines of:

As for what can you do.. Well not alot really. The guy has every right to be p*ssed at you imho. After all he did the deal with you. The other guy isn't even a member.

Also didn't you find it a bit odd. How your friend was gunna be making $400 and then pay you half? Seemed too good to be true.

Sucks you got scammed dude. But it sucks for the guy who sent $400 more.

"If you aren't in control of what you're selling, you can't sell it here (owning it, or being officially tied to the company / owner and under contract to handle a sale"

I was in control. As soon as this guy got the money in his account he blocked me out asap. He had told me I could help transfer the site. But I was in control when I was selling it

So, who sold the site on DP? You or he? If you sold it (without following our advice), you're the one to blame.

I posted the ad and emailed him whatever PMs I got. He told me what to PM back. I sent a member this guys payment details and answers to questions.

He must of sent payment because from there on I got blocked from everything and the guy will not respond to my emails.

I am guessing so by the looks of things now.
I have added the buyer to messenger and I am going to work something out with him to make up for my role in this.

You were told that you weren't allowed to sell it. You were not the owner or in an official business relationship / under contract as a site broker - and you flat out admitted it was to help your friend get around our rules of a wait period for posting. And I love how your "friend" isn't even really your friend to begin with. So tough cookies.
