I receieved an e-mail today from a website that would like to do a 3-way link exchange. The e-mail seemed legit since it was talking about my actual site and they wanted to put my link on a similar site like mine but I would put his main website link on my page. What do you guys think? Some master from DP wanna look at my e-mail and see if it's just a scam of some sort. It doesn't sound like one to me. The e-mail just read kind of robotish.
The worst that can happen is he doesn't put up the link, in which case you take yours down. If his sites look good then you can't really lose. I don't really think its a scam as such.
Ya, that's a good way to look at it. The site he wants to put my link on is a PR3 which is nice i guess.
Doesn't sound like a scam to me. I get a lot of these emails. Initially they are probably a template sent out by some program but if you respond, often you will get the person behind it. Just keep checking to make sure they keep your link up.
I receive emails like this on a regular basis asking for link exchanging. I guess some webmasters search for related keywords and according with results returned, they contact other webmasters to make their request and keep linkage relevant to their sites. I came with this conclusion because many of those requests are sent to non-existing emails accounts, but with "catch all" enabled. Another observation is that they begin saying that my site is great and well designed so they will like to exchange links... ironically the refer to sites which are parked or with no content at all, but with pagerank.
I get this everyday... I simply delete them. Never agreed the deal yet. Sometimes their PR4 link pages are link farm.
if you think it'll help you why not try it as you've said it look nice though you may want to analyze their site first before you decide and agree with the deal...
