Out of curiosity,I used a service offered at http://www.fiverr.com/ for possible increase of Fan number of my Facebook page and I paid $5. I am confident that the site itself is not a scam. Seller claimes that he has 7,000 friends and how it works is he tells them about my page and some of them become fans. It was dubious, but I tried as it is $5 I got 500 more now. More than than 90 % of the fans are from Indian Subcontinenet. The number increased by 200 after 24 hours and gardually ever day went up for 2 to 3 weeks, which surprised me. It now stopped. I was worried the number will decrease if it is a scam, but it is static for a long period. BUT Noone commmented or liked except one "like" and THIS IS STRANGE. IS THIS SCAM/ What is your comments if you used this type of sevices. From the start,I have been and still am sKeptical.but I experimented as it is only.$5
Thank you for sharing this As a matter of principle I'm opposed to buying Facebook fans and Twitter followers. I consider it dishonest and unethical. In the long run it's also counterproductive because your average online customer will recognize that you've bought Facebook fans and Twitter followers. Take for example the fan page of a website which sells commercial coffee machines for coffee shops – why would a teenager interested in computer games sign up as a fan? Would someone like that want to buy such a coffee machine?? As a coffee shop owner, I would lose my confidence in such a business, because I would immediately recognize that this fan was paid to join that Fan Page.
thank you for your comments. My question is does anyone become a fan as a paid job for mere $0.01? ($5/500 fans I got equals $0.01). In his ad for the service His service is put a comment/ad in his wall regarding for my page and some of 7000 friends become my page's fan voluntarily, saying normally 600. In my case 500 out of 7000 chose to be a fan. But you might be right. You are implying that 500 out of his 7000 might be pre-selected,not voluntarily. Still it is a mystery to me how this actually works
Whenever the number of fans in a niche Fan Page is "too big to be true", I and many other will immediately get suspicious. The most important factor in promoting a business website is quality and not <empty> quantity. The potential customer of a respectable business isn't stupid and he'll see through such foul play. Honesty and integrity are the basic building blocks in the foundations of a civilized society … and I'll continue to use my keyboard to fight for making cyberspace more civilized. Since the 1990s we've come a long way but there's still a long way to go until our standards of internet marketing will be the way they should be.
As you said that mostly are from indian sub continent, then what happens is may be the services you are offering is not for them, they wont click on like button or comment till it excites them,Just To Check If Users are real or not Just do 1 thing if they are from india go update somethings related to bollywood which is latest, indian tv shows like bigg boss mtv roadies, or their nation i.e india. if the users are real they will 100% comment and like
ListBuildingForNewbies Thank for your nice comment again. letdpplwatch What you suggested is a very good comment. Title of my Facebook page is Internet Marketing Services. I actually 2 weeks ago put in a comment in my wall and tested, using Indian dating site. Exact quote is "Many fans of this page are Indians so click http://indianfriendfinderDotcom/ ..... (I deleted my affiliate code here as it is not allowed here) Don't be shy!" In my original thread post I said no comments and no likes excet one. Actually this is the only "like" as I tracked affiliate code statics. So fans are not 100% fake. The best way will be to put in Bollywood etc directly related to Indian as you suggested. Have a nice day!
i've used simliar services and i believe those are just fake accounts....didn't do much for me either and it was waste of $. i am sure it does work for some people but esp for $5? i highly doubt it'll bring much of a valuable traffic.
Misshappy No one who actually used this service responded this thread so i was wondering if it is only me. So thank you very much for your response.. It is amazing that many people still offer this services at http://www.fiverr.com/ and it seems to be popular and many customers are still queing up.
Thanks for sharing the link to the fiverr.com website. I just signed up with them. I think the idea behind this site is quite ingenious. I believe that besides facebook and twitter, fiverr.com is a wonderful marketing tool. Businesses can use this site for promoting certain products by offering a limited amount for $5.
ListBuildingForNewbies In my original thread post I said "I am confident that the site itself is not a scam." There are a large variety of services including outrageously funny offers. I believe some are very useful for serious Business/IM marketers. But the sense of fun is everywhere in the site. One thing I fotgeot to say before is this. In the siteThere are no blatant ad copies of Facebook fan sellers like "I sell you 100 fans for $5" or "You get 100 fans for $5" Instead sellers are advertising "I have 7000 Facebook friend and invite them to your page" OR "mention your page for $5" They do not give you any guarantees. So I wondered if there is strict quality control imposed by administrtors. Anyway you might have fun there unexpectedly, doing your serious marketing. I wish you all the best.
People buy facebook accounts with 5k friends, usually 20 accounts, 100k friends, and they sell suggestion to page, you should do that on your own, not to pay to someone.
What has the world come to when you buy fake friends on Facebook, i have enough fake friends in real life
fivver is not a scam, the workers there might be but not all. I discourage you paying $5 for 7,000 fans is not believable. $5 is so cheap to get 7k fans. I'll charge you $100 to give 7k fans. It's a lot of work.
But I think you are a fucker fake...you have taken my $60 for 20 pva's but didnt supply any single pva yet. Even you've blocked me from AIM and Gtalk. I'll report for you to Mod.
CherryLou I would like you to point out your misunderstanding. Exact copy of the ad of services which I purchased for $5 was below. I copied and pasted. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> I will invite Real 6000 facebook friends to join your Facebook Page or Group or Application for $5 In: Social Marketing • Usually delivers within 2 days 117 3 98% Positive Contact Seller ### 100+ PoSiTiVE FeedBacks ### Hi,I have lot of expeirence in this work. Conversion rate is >15% of service according to past job. That means that mimimum 600 friends will join your Page or Group >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> The seller of tHE SERVICES is not saying the person is selling 6000 fans to me(I get 6000 fans) for $5. The person is inviting friends and SOME of them will voluntarily become fasn of my page if they like it. In his experience in the past minimum 600 people become fans, depending on pages's nature. I like fivver's lively fun spirits.
For $5 you cannot expect to see much of a result! Thats the thing with fiver you have to be sharp at what you buy, always look to se if they have feedback
