This is a public letter to Jaman.com, who was a merchant in Linkshare affiliate network.

Please read more on my blog which is in the second line of my signature.

    Dear Jaman.com,

Are you a scam? If not, please pay my commission USD $ 19,554.00

This is Terry, an experienced internet marketer in Hong Kong. I have promoted Jaman.com through Linkshare in the past year.

Here are the commissions I earned ($1.00 per valid lead) from Aug 2008 to Apr 2009.

    Aug-2008: $3.00 paid on 2008/11/7
    Sep-2008: $2.00 paid on 2008/12/18
    Oct-2008: $75.00 paid on 2008/12/18
    Nov-2008: $1,186.00 paid on 2009/1/2
    Dec-2008: $1,001.00 unpaid
    Jan-2009: $125.00 unpaid
    Feb-2009: $1,613.00 unpaid
    Mar-2009: $16,698.00 unpaid
    Apr-2009: $117.00 unpaid

At the first beginning, I just tried to promote their website, so the commissions I only earned a little on Aug, Sep & Oct 2008. On Nov & Dec 2008 I promoted more and earned more. On Jan 2009 I was on holiday. On Feb & Mar 2009, their affiliate manager asked me to promote more, so I was trying my best to promote their website. Of course I invested much time and money for promoting their website. On Apr 2009, Jaman.com left Linkshare and I haven’t promoted them any more.

They changed three affiliate managers during these days.

From Feb 19th, I communicated with G** J**, he said "you've done a great job in marketing our site" and asked me to promote more. So I promoted more.
But then he left Jaman.com then and asked me to contact J** O**.
From Mar 21st, I communicated with J** and he replied "I have forwarded your request for payment to our accounts payable person." and "Your efforts have been great. your efforts have been very helpful." So I promoted even more.
But then he left Jaman.com and asked me to contact L** L**.
From Mar 31st, I communicated with L** L** and he replied " Please send me a copy of the invoice." After that he just neglected all of my emails. And when I called him, someone answered the call and said “Sorry you dialed a wrong number.”

Jaman.com, I understand your days may also be very hard in the economic recession. Some news source reported that you have laid off most of your staffs (from 30 stuffs to only 5 stuffs).
But would you please kindly reply me and tell me when will you make the payment.
I have tried to contact you by a lot of methods in the past days without any replies, so I try to publish this public letter on my blog and some webmaster forums for seeking your reply or other ones’ suggestions.

    Looking forward to your reply!
    Thank you very much!

    Best Wishes,
    Terry

Anyone who can give me any suggestions, please also feel free to contact me. I would like to tell you my MSN or AOL and talked to you.

It's going to be hard to get your money back especially if they just dumped the network. Linkshare is notorious for being shitty to their affiliate anyway so I doubt you would've gotten help from them. How much advertising did you end up buying for them? Also do you know if they belong to any other affiliate networks? I stick to promoting established companies/websites to avoid situations like these. A phone number would be helpful as well if you had it.

You don't have many options at this point - being international, it's hard to take them to court. I would go ahead and do your best to get it back since it's a large sum of money. Court would be your best way though.

I guess you've trusted the wrong guys, you should stop promoting them once they stopped paying you ;)
However, hope you will get your commission soon.

You have to treat your affiliates like slaves not like friends, just like myself and even if you get as little as 100 pageviews a day like me! Neither pepperjam nor comission junction told me that there is no nofollow link in their ads. That would have penalized me. But lucky me I have read an article about that and did it myself. Do not treat your affiliates like friends or family, treat them badly, treat them badly because thats what they deserve

Upset to read this. You guy should be slave.

We should treat our affiliates as friends and family. They help us build our business.

Can't you take legal action against em? It's not like it's $50 you are owed. I won't not let up on em, and keep doing what you can do to get your money or at least some of it.

Perhaps there affiliate manager is driving a new car on your money. :(

Lol I would probably take legal action at 50 bucks! - 50 bucks, you must be kidding me! I used to get into fights at school for things like deciding wether a ping pong match would be to 11 or to 21 lol. And I actually got suspended two or three days for that lolz with the other guy:D

In this economy, every dollar count's. I hope the thread creator makes some progress with his current situation and then he can move on to better program's that are managed better with payments. I need to get some sleep.

    Thank you for your reply.
They were just kept changing affiliate managers from March.
But they all never said "You won't be paid." after March
The first affiliate manager said "You will be paid, please continue to market."
The second affiliate manager also said " I have submit your payment request, your efforts are great."
The third affiliate manager said" Please send me your invoice."
    So I kept promoting them......

    Thank you for your reply.
The customer service in Linkshare is helping me contact them, though a little slow. I hope they could communicate well with Jaman.com.
I spent around USD 6000 on Google Adwords to promote it.
They don't belong to any other affiliate networks now, some news source said they have laid off lots of their staffs and they even may go down -_-
I tried to call them, but always no one answer the phone.
