    Hi Indian fella's,

I got a cheque of $35 on 19th feb from one of my affiliate I m promoting and I have submitted it to my local SBI bank on 24th or so Feb. I got cleared the check on 29th March which is yesterday. It really sucks took more than a month to clear it.

Now the main story is SBI charged 350 RS. for remitting foreign check wtf? I have gone to bank and asked bankers and they said that they have flat fee of 350 INR.

Did you ever got charged that much amount to clear a foreign cheque? Please post your views guys I m sure many of you get checks.

USD denominated check is not worth the effort, if the check amount is not big? Better do electonic transactions, its safe and charges are also ok.

Yes, all bank charge almost this amount to get USD check cleared. So its advisable to ask for a check if the amount is minimum $100.

    Thanks

Foreign currency cheques take minimum 21 days to max 45 days for clearance. And the fee is Rs350-500 depending upon the amount.
