SBI Debit Cards Will Not work in PayPal Anymore

    Well I was the one who promoted these cards for the Younger Generation.

    But all the debit cards of SBI have been added to secure mode on 16 December 2009(i.e Charging debit card in rupees without VbV is not possible anymore) and hence these cards will not work in PayPal anymore.

    The Cards Include: Yuva International Debit Card(Visa), Gold International Debit Card(Visa/MasterCard)

    Will I be able to verify my Paypal account at least?

    But i have to ask you question vivek, If you register your CC with VbV, then how VbV allowed to do transaction with paypal?

    You are little mistaken in your assessment. Till very recently, OP.. who works with SBI, was helpful in getting the verification done using SBI debit cards since he was able to source the expuse code from internal records.

    It is really very unfortunate that the most convenient way for many people has been disabled! :(

    I am really disappointed with the working of Indian Cards and their policy makers. The fools who dont know how we the younger generation use cards are responsible for making these decisions. Credit cards now come with an extra special passwords as a results many credit cards like that of hdfc now doesnt work with paypal or many other foreign payment gateways. Even International Debit cards are nothing but atm cards.

    Probably I am the most unlucky person here :mad:. Got YUVA card 45 days ago, but could not collect pin as I moved from one city to another. Got PIN today, but could not verify paypal using the most convenient way heard so far. :(

    thats bad news.. but why should anyone use debit cards for paypal.. if there is a fraud and your back account will become empty....

    I had applied for Yuva card on 13th Nov.Today they have sent me a normal ATM card instead of Yuva card.I have 2 ATM cards with me now (with different no.s)

    so how can i verify paypal account without credit card?
    can i use vcc ? but then can i change my account info so that i can receive and send funds?
    is hdfc netsafe still working?
