With a larger number of blogs you would probably be getting less traffic on each, so you would want to keep them in one niche and consolidate. Probably promoting a product. If you have multiple niches it would be more watered down. I would guess. Wow, I just had a great Idea for a blog. Thanks for jogging my brain loose.
I would use them to drive traffic and create link popularity to one powerhouse site that generates income.
Nah, It won't be a problem cause I get the users informed something like this (We have merged with this site and the end of the month the site will be shut down and you users you could read on the theotherdomain.com) Mostly I get targeted user branches which is not a problem. Getting de-indexed of the blog sites is not a problem cause as the end they will be shut down.
Interesting...I think this task requires a special approach...The thing is that to run 100 blogs isn't possible for one man. What's more to check all the sites even if they are run by the hired people is difficult job. That's why I suggest designing a tool or program that would be able to promote the blogwithout human's help. All you need is to choose the niches and read comments on your blog. The machine should operate properly...Content? It combines content from thousands of sites and blogs and Google wouldn't find any copies beacause of qualitative rewriting. Backlinks are coming from different sites that are relevent to yours...And so on...
I've got over 250 sites.. (only about 35 of those are blogs, but i'll be adding more).. Over the years I've learned that it's much better to diverisfy.. You're way better off covering multiple niches, services, etc.. (my username might imply adult sites, but I have a crapload of mainstream too..) I use over 200 affiliate programs as well.. it does get confusing from time to time, however the monthly income tends to be more predictable when you cover numerous ways of gaining revenue... If you put all your eggs in one or two baskets and something happens, you have nothing to fall back on... (happened to me back in '99-2000 when i was just focused on one main niche with only a few affiliates)..
I know this works because I have done it. Am I supposed to believe that you are shutting down sites that are giving you quality traffic?
After a meanwhile the traffic (targeted) is cut off so shutting down them is better then keeping up live and wasting hosting expenses.
Just be careful of spreading yourself too thin. I'd rather have 10 tight sites then 20 weak ones. Matt
Good point. Some great idea here guys, keep em' rolling. I see a couple of techniques that could just be aplied to one blog that are great ^^.
