Saving vector text for the web?

How do I do it in Illustrator CS2?

I made a text object, and clicked "save for web" and saved as .gif, but it didn't work, and became pixellated on closer viewing.

I did the same thing with a rectangle, and it worked fine :S

    Thanks,

    BP

Any jpg, gif, bmp etc will appear "pixelated" on closer view.

Export to SVG or Flash if your absolutely must export vectors for the web (and keep them as vectors).
It's kinda pointless though. Vector text is designed for 'working with' and for printing, not really for viewing on a screen.

Just export it as a high quality jpg or png and live with it :p

You can save as png file and it will save only the selected text, the background will be transparent.
