There are two options for me to save images in Photoshop. One is save for web feature and other is save as. I am developing a site. From these two options which is most suitable for me?

Save for web will allow you to best optimize your images for the web. :)

Well there isn't much difference between save the web and save as. But if I want to save something as sliced, then I would choose save for the web.

The reason hereby is due that you're able to get how long it would take to load, for different internet speeds. And you also get the options to choose other save file types and see how that affects the loading time.

to build upon what previous said..
you also be able to preview the image in a nice way which helps you determine how much you can actually compress or loose in quality of your image without the image looking really ugly.

Save for web when you design layout, icon, logo
Save as for photos, picture (it'll keep meta tag)

It wouldn’t make much difference if you want to create a JPG of your web design template for reference however, if you want to save a specific slice for logos, icons, buttons, etc it would be better to choose the save for web and devices option as it would provide the best results to be visible in web browsers.
