http://www.savetoby.com/ This is even funnier than eBay auctions. Toby is the cutest little bunny on the planet. Unfortunately, he will DIE on June 30th, 2005 if you don.t help. I am going to eat him. I am going to take Toby to a butcher to have him slaughter this cute bunny. I will then prepare Toby for a midsummer feast. I have several recipes under consideration, which can be seen, with some pretty graphic images, under the recipe section. I don’t want to eat Toby, he is my friend, and he has always been the most loving, adorable pet. However, God as my witness, I will devour this little guy unless I receive 50,000$ USD into my account from donations or purchase of merchandise. You can help this poor, helpless bunny’s cause by making donations through my verified PayPal account by clicking on any of the Donate buttons on this site, or by purchasing merchandise at the Savetoby.com online store.
I am so disturbed by this....but probably more disturbed about how funny the recipe section is. They have him sitting in that pot! i can't stop giggling. although i have to say, i honestly hope he won't kill the bunny, but i'm not going to donate to save him either.
I will say that I saw this site a few months ago and I could have sworn the dollar amount was exactly the same. Maybe a bit of photoshop?
If you click on the dollar amount, you get this: "Error Detected This recipient is currently unable to receive money."
The rabbit is signifigant because people eat them yet others have them as pets. If he had a cow, noone would care. If it was a dog he would probably be arrested __________________ Self Help FAQ | Stop Smoking | Health Forum |Submit your site - No Recip Required
Is this a definition of a successful website? A site started in Jan this year and known by so many people...
I guess it worked, people know about his book and his site. But IMO people will soon get tired of stuff like that. I mean, I don't want him to kill the bunny, but I wouldn't buy the book to save it considering I'm not a vegetarian
It's this and reminds me to the line from that prisoner airplane movie where John Malcovich says: "one false move and the bunny dies".
Now the guys sell a book about Toby. Oh, boy A real marketing strategy! http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/t...103-3438040-7677455?v=glance&s=books&n=507846
First he wanted money...... then I think paypal closed his account...... now he's selling a book. The really stupid people are the ones that send him money.
