I just saw what Japanese maritime workers/hunters are doing on the news. Aren't Dolphins meant to be exempt from hunting within Developed Countries? http://www.glumbert.com/media/dolphin (Warning, graphic video) http://www.iol.co.za/index.php?set_id=1&click_id=31&art_id=nw20070226100346874C205973 (Article) What can be done?
Nothing can be done on the individual level. Give money to greenpeace maybe. The governments have to make a full ban. And they aren't hunting just dolphines but whales too. Ocean life is a very large portion of the oriental diet. What about the shark fins? They cut the fins off and throw the mutilated shark back into the water. We know all this is happening and yet it continues. Only the governments can do something about it. And for the japanese, its more 'tradition' now which is even harder to change. What is most desturbing is that the dolphin brain is bigger than ours meaning is possible the dolphine is smarter than we are. And yet we butcher them. There's something wrong in that. But to some people, a fish is a fish is a fish.

you know what, im a vegetarian, although the only meat i eat is fish. (no dolphins or whales though). i hope the prime minister of japan and leaders of other countries do something about dolphin slaughter.
I love to eat fish but I will never eat dolphin or whales since they are endangered and they are beautiful animals.
I am vegetarian too. I eat no meat - including fish. Why discriminate between different animals? It's hypocritical, all animals are meat.
