I want to know how people feel different between 2 words when using to promote some discount. Between "save $10" and "save 10%". Which one is better for using to promote?
i would think it depends on what you're promoting... if its a sub $100 item, then I rather have 'save $10' haha
$10 for smaller purchases. 10% for larger ones. Pretty sure I read that somewhere once, but not sure where.
People know the basic maths mate. I will go choose 10% for any item which costs more than $100 and $10 discount for any item which costs less than $100. For a $100 item? Well, it doesn't matter which I choose, right?
If the discount and dollar amount are the same for the product offered, I would go with the dollar amount every time. You save your customer one mental step to seeing their benefit and the dollar amount appears more concrete to them.
