Ouf...I feel better...Knowing I can shout loud in the middle of the La Mecca's mosque that I'm a non believer and an infidel without worry of any trouble in a big relief...

There's no text in Islam that says "women cannot drive" .. there wasn't even cars when Islam was revealed.

In fact, women at the time of the Prophet (peace be upon him) used to ride camels, and it was permissible for them.

The current Saudi law I admit does have a religious basis, but it's an opinion, and an opinion doesn't always have the be correct.

It doesn't have to do wether women are bad drivers, but things like what will happen if a woman's car breaks down in the middle of the desert? it is scenarios like that they want to avoid.

Because it's against the law there, that's why. The law clearly states you will go to jail, so why does any women want to drive for?

What I mean by "not a problem" is that they won't die because they can't drive, they won't become sick, it doesn't really effect them that much.

Why is it that those in poverty are neglected and all attention is given to women who can't drive?

And they don't have equal rights, because they are two different people.

They are not the same are they?

Your brain is completely fucked up if you can't see the utter ridiculousness of these statements. I guess this is what happens to the ability to reason when one is forced to memorize religious bullshit during childhood when the brain tissue is still developing

The reason why gender inequality is focused on more than poverty is because we live in an age of feminism. Class alienation is so last century :p

They are two different genders, why should they have the same rights? What's the big deal here?

Blacks and whites are two different ethnicities, should they not have equal rights?

In the eyes of the establishment, all people should be treated equally. Why's that not a good idea?

Because the Divine law requires it. The Divine law is giving the same rights to others as the rights you give to yourself. Now what you are telling everybody is you are considering or maybe you suggest Islam considers women less important than men to God. If that is the Real Islam - you guys (the muslims believing in that) have a Real Problem. And whoever breaks God's laws will be held accountable.
If you don't know it women are human beings, they are our mothers and sisters. These practices of oppressing them, denying them basic human rights are not from God. You are following man made rules and laws. A tree is known by its fruits.

They are, yes, they are the same.
You will reach civilization once you can accept that fact.

Black and whites should have the same rights because they are both male and human, there is no difference except the skin color.

But male and female are two different beings.

You seriously think women should have the right to use the male section of a public toilet?

    Which divine law?

And exactly which practice oppresses them?

    1. Love your neighbor like yourself.
    2. Denying women the rights you the muslim men in those respective countries like Saudi Arabia enjoy.

We are not talking about the difference between the sexual body parts of men and women.

It is so common to hear/read this misconception. It simply is an undeniable fact that races do not differ solely on skin colour. While people from differing ethnicities may be of the same gender, don't be naive enough to think the same goes for genetics. Certain races are susceptible to particular illnesses for example, and look different for a reason - and no, I'm not referring to the colour. Only the blind would think a black, asian and white man have the same physical features but just a different pigment colour. While not as different physically as women, it's still true. It really makes me laugh when I hear the ol' "skin colour is the only difference". That's the kind of tripe they teach in schools for fear of racism...

Nope, they're both human beings. Homosapien. Just like everyone in all races/cultures.

Now now Israel, you've said some good things in the past, don't try logical fallacies on me. We're discussing how you disregard (or that's at least what I've gathered) gender equality because of gender differences. We're not talking about toilets as it has nothing to do with establishments and their management of rights. Besides, it's not illegal for woman to enter a male toilet, but it is for her to drive in some countries.

I also heard that in KSA women cannot drive. However in the future, i think this rule will change.

but, if Islam is so crime free, as you claim the extreme punishment creates then surely this could not be a problem. Why would you accept holding back 10 million women for the sake of this cause? I would guess it would be 1 in ten million women that your given scenario may actually occur.

It seems to be more the case that this way, your women have less ways to escape.

I don't restrict women from driving.

And according to Islam women are allowed to drive.

    How can I help you?

So you would agree that most Islam nations - if not all - have misinterpreted and misconstrued the faith?

As far as I know it's only Saudi Arabia that restricts women from driving..the other nations do not have such restrictions.

Whether they allowed or not, I see it as a non-issue, I wish people can use their time to solve real problems like poverty. Here we have woman bragging about that she can't drive, and there's people that are dying of hunger every single day.

Oh, so you mean that no one is trying to help people starving or living in poverty? Wake up.
Also, one problem does not rule out another. They both still exist and both of them needs to be taken care of.
