Saudi Arabia Revolution?

I'm quiet sad by the fact that such a holy land is owned now by a mafia type family who are only interested in Ferrari's and billion dollar mansions. Don't you think it would of been a better idea for Bin laden to start a revolution against the Saudi family and restore the country to real islamic values with a democracy (they hate each other) rather than resorting to being a militant? :D

Bin Laden is looking for the ancient type of Islamic society I don't think he is looking to start a democracy.

I read about it somewhere that he wanted to start something along the lines of history where Islam was the strongest, was that the Caliph? I think for such history you will be far knowledgeable. Correct me if I am wrong.

Yes, Laden want's to take this world somewhere new... Materialism has captured everything else, surrendor to materialism (that's their only power, them as in the "elite", the people want to dictate) and get more spiritual (something they CANNOT control).

Ovbiously you didn't read my post, he could of taken a different root and been a revolutionary rather than doing what he is doing now.

The Saudis have controlled Arabia for more than a 100 years. They're bad, useless, dumb, greedy..., but not awful. They have done well to maintain stability in one of the most volatile regions in the world.

I don't see any chance for any revolutionary to succeed in Arabia, neither can I foresee democracy.

However you feel about the house of Saud, the story of Ibn Al Saud is a fascinating one. A good read.

Bin Laden's, and Al Qaeda's, creed are antithetical to democracy. Bin Laden in essence coopted the philosophy of Qutb Al Sayyid in forming the ideology of Al Qaeda, and the inimical stand of both to democracy is well documented.

    Here, a cursory search yields:
