Saudi Arabia King Fears Full-Scale War

It appears the Saudi King is worried about full-scale mideast war.

"If the peace option fails because of Israeli arrogance, there will be no other option but war"

Considering the tone of that sentence does it seem he would join against Israel?

If so what kind of complications does this create?

Even if the current outbreak of violence stops, what has been solved? All the underlying problems are still there, it will just continue to be a matter of time before the violence erupts again.

    Erm, Wrong.
The supply of arms wont stop and there will be a lot more people willing to operate them after this wave of violence.

I think it depends on how hard force Israel use. Israel must use any resources they have on hezbollah to make it weak and cut off supply lines.

The interest in joining Hezbollah may rice, but after this cut off, Hezbollah will have hard to re-orginaise(spelling error, don't remind me) and will need huge funds to build up their armory and intelligense system.

What Israel wants is probably an international peace force in southern libanon in order prevent the re-structure of the terror organisation which gives them further headeche.

A possible short term disruption of Hezbollah supply lines is not worth the agrivation and killing of the lebanese population, the rise in terrorists over the next few years/decades because of this one act.

I agree that the war has so far in the start led to many innocents death, which is a shame. The distruption of supply lines should not be short term. It should be like forever. Hopefully international troops can take over when Israel leaves and prevent another chance for the organisation.

However, is your solution to let Hezbollah fire rockets freely into another nation?

Israel will do what the US tells them to do. There's talk of Israeli soldiers setting up a 6 mile safety zone inside Lebanon to eventually be taken over by the UN. AS long as the Irraeli occupation is seen as a temporaty measure I can't see this escalating beyond what it is now.

Good comment! Not sure if such size of the bufferzone will be enough, but it will surely help. In the future, Israel can deploy a full scale THEL system behind the zone which will catch up the rockets with laser beams.

Most katusha rockets have a range of about 6 miles.
a few have a range of about 12miles but Israels side of the border isnt that densly populated at all until you hit haifa which is 18 miles inside israel.
