SAT Score Thread?!

I Got a 1770. Very low to my standards. My goal is 2000 for the october retake.
600 Math
630 CR
540 Writing [This killed me]

What about you?

 

What is SAT? Can you tell us more about it?

 

1500 on the old system, 2210 on the new one.

Didn't even know they changed the format. I think it was around a 600 on math and 500 on writing or something like that

 

that's some crazy number. I didn't take it, my English suck

 

When I took the test for fun in grade 8, my score was 2010. I'm aiming for a perfect or near-perfect score when I take it for real in grade 11.

 

Didn't take the SAT, since most everywhere in the Midwest just goes with the ACT... so i got a 30 on the ACT, which is good.. Not sure what the conversion is on the new SAT though

 

when i was in school, the highest was 1600. When did that change?

It changed a couple years ago I believe. The highest possible score is now 2400. Another English section got added.

 

2 or 3 years ago, they add a writing test to it, another 800 point so total 2400

 

used to be 800 english 800 maths wasnt it ?

i remembered i score 800 for maths but the english section was a killer ...

We Canadians like it nice and simple. Finals. Max you can get is 100%. How's that for confusing?

 

Yea .. when I was in school it was the same thing ... WTF? The first time I took SAT 1 I got 980 .. then I took it again and got 1280 and that was about it ... My Math was 780 and the writing sucked so badly

SAT is a reasoning test based on your logical skills, its not about KNOWING the answer, its about being able to find the answer to any question.

ACT is more popular in the midwestern states but I refused to take it. I knew nothing about any of the classes I took but I have very good logical skills. I got a 2210 on the SAT, with the ACT I probably would've gotten a 29 (based on the practice ACT)

 

I'm Canadian too, but I plan on going to an American university. Canadian ones are no good
