Sarari for Mac users: are you having problems posting?

I use Safari for Mac as my main browser, but I'm forced to use FireFox to submit this post. Starting a few hours ago, I am no longer able to post new threads or send PMs using Safari for Macintosh. The "Message" box is greyed-out, and none of the little formatting buttons respond, either. I've cleared the cache, run every maintenance script software I have, and restarted multiple times. I still can't post with Safari for Mac.

A weird thing that I just noticed is that when I click in the "Message" box and start typing, the letters that I type start scrolling INSIDE the status bar at the very bottom of the browser window. That's weird, and obviously some sort of bug.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

UPDATE: The culprit appears to have been the "com.apple.Safari.plist" preferences file. It must have gotten corrupted somehow. I trashed it, and now I can post again with Safari for Mac!

Anyway, I hope this helps other Mac users.

and apples never get corrupted. If ever have a problem with a mac which is a rarity you should call apple. Providing any evidence to the rest of the world that macs do mess up will just ad fuel to the fire to the people who are naive enough to use windows based products!

Very true. When my FF dies out or has problems, the sites usually load properly on Safari ;)

It had to do with the amount of add-ons I had installed:

    SafariBlock
    SafariPlus
    SafariSource
    Saft
    SurfRabbit

When I updated to 10.4.10, Safari started having problems. I did a lot of testing by removing every add-on one-by-one to see if the problems still existed. Sure enough, it was SafariPlus (cookie manager). I removed SafariPlus permanently, deleted com.apple.Safari.plist, and Safari has been "smooth like butta" since.
